My foray into photography began in 1992 with an old Pentax Super Program 35 mm and a Pentax 50mm lens. I soon added an off-brand 28-105mm zoom, which greatly increased my enthusiasm for zoom photography. However, I was disappointed with the quality of the off-brand zoom, and vowed never to use off-brand again.
In 1997, I purchased my first Nikon, which was an N90s with an 80-200 2.8 lens. I truly enjoyed this set-up; the difference in the sharpness of the lens was simply breathtaking! I have several other Nikons now, and just received my first digital camera in the form of a Nikon D70 in December 2004. I am extremely pleased with this equipment.
Since I take slides, I currently use a Nikon digital slide scanner to digitize my slides.
The film I used when I began my jaunt into photography was Kodachrome 64. I tried experimenting with Fugi film in the mid-1990's with a little Velvia 50. It seemed like I was never able to fully obtain the results I wanted with this film.
For current endeavors I utilize Provia 100F and 400F as well as Velvia 100F on occasion. Depending on the part of the country, and the weather, I also use Kodak E100SW(GX) and a little E200 as well.
