Santa Fe Trail Transportation Terminal

By Karl Erk

Time frame is somewhere in the late 1950s, somewhere in Oklahoma (Mazak, Oklahoma, as a matter of fact), on the Santa Fe Railway. This is a transfer terminal for the SANTA FE TRAIL TRANSPORTATION Co., the trucking arm of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway. Karl built this scene as part of a modular railroad layout of the Sussex County Railroad Club. The structure is a modified Walthers LAKESIDE SHIPPING Co. warehouse. The model tractors and trailers come from Alloy Forms, Athearn, On-Trak, Sheepscot, & Walthers. Decals are from Microscale and Short Line Products.
